lessons & Boarding

We  are located in La Tuna Canyon in Sun Valley, Ca.

Lessons are available in Western Riding, Western Pleasure, Barrel Racing & Gymkhana Events. 

We train for competition in these events as well and allow our students the opportunity to compete at local shows.

We teach children and adults, beginning thru intermediate riding.

We are Level II American Riding Instructor Association Certified.

We supply all the equipment and horses; all riders under the age of 18 are required to wear an SEI approved helmet. Proper riding attire including jeans & smooth soled boots is required. -Sorry no tennis shoes are allowed.

Our lessons start from the ground up so even if you're a novice, we will teach you everything you need to understand and safely enjoy the equestrian experience. 

Depending upon the riders experience, trail lessons are available as well. Our trail rides are to local wildlife preserves and equestrian parks in surrounding areas such as Simi Valley, Malibu and Burbank .

lesson PRICES:

1 hour private on property- $60.00

We also have a pre-paid lessons discount package- (4) lessons- $220.00

                                                 1 hour private off property- $75.00-$85.00 (depending on location)

1  1/2  hour private on property- $80.00

1 hour private trail- $85.00

2 hour private trail- $145.00

All lessons are subject to a booking fee if less than 24 hours notice is given for a cancellation or no-show for any reason.

We also accept horses for training. We train in Natural Horsemanship to ensure a safe and healthy bond between you and your horse.

We specialize in rehabilitation of injured and retraining of rescue or mishandled horses.

Miss Jiminy's Horse Transport & Training is part of E.T.I. Corral 34 which has monthly trail rides, playdays and other fun events. 

We also support other corrals within the E.T.I. Circuit.

Partial training (2 -3 days per week) -$400.00 per month

Full training (4 -5 days per week)- $600.00 per month                     

                                  (includes turnout 5-6 days per week )

(board is not included in training and is an additional $310.00 per month)

off-site Partial training (2 -3 days per week) -$475.00 per month

Trailer training (horse)- $75.00 per hour

Trailer Training (vehicle maneuvering)- $85.00 per hour

30 minute - 1 hour turnout- 3 days per week- $75.00 per month

Blanketing- $60.00 per month

boarding facilities :

The   facility  amenities  include: 

                                    40' ROUND  PEN          &       120' x 160'  lighted Arena         

In addition to our  arena  & round PEN, there is direct trail access from our ranch facility to the outlying trail heads into the mountains. 

 we have  12' X 24'  PIPE CORRALS  w/shelters

WE  also HAVE A  24' X 96'  shared PASTURE STALL  w/shelter 

a  4o' x 4o' foaling pipe corral &  an extra large 30' x 40' x 30' double stall with double shelters.

 ALL STALLS HAVE  SHELTER  COVERS & either  automatic  waterers or water  basins.

we OFFER 3 TYPES OF HAY as feed : alfalfa, orchard GRASS & OAT 3-way.

stalls ARE CLEANED DAILY, 7 days a week.

12 X 24 pipe corral- $310.00 PER MONTH

24 X 96 SHARED oat hay PASTURE STALL -$275.00 PER MONTH

30 x 40 x 30 double stall -$450.00 per horse per month or $600.00 for two horses per month

40 x 40 foaling pipe corral-$450.00 per month or $600.00 for two horses per month
